Tournament power rankings. We've listed the Top 10 college basketball programs
that should be included in your brackets, or watched closely when the time comes
to bet on individual games. These rankings are obviously fluid and subject to
change, but as of February 4 (first date of publication) these are our ten teams
to beat at the 2008 Big Dance.
We've included the powerhouse schools that always seem to snap up the coveted
#1 seeds and thus earn easier paths to the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, and of
course the prized Final Four. But we've also looked for Cinderella candidates
that could provide the upsets that make the NCAA Tournament such an exciting
event. It's early days and this Power rankings page will be updated with more
schools as the 65-team bracket starts to take shape, but for now these are the
best bets in college hoops.
