I`ve bet on the NFL for years and I`ve never felt the urge to quit my day job. This season though I am in the black and my bookie is feeling the heat. What`s changed? Well, for one thing I`m not doing my own football handicapping anymore.
When it comes to investing in the stock market I let my Financial Advisor pick stocks. When I feel unwell I no longer diagnose myself on the Internet, but let my GP make that tough call. Why should sports betting be any different? I use expert handicappers that do this for a living all the time. Are they always right? No. Are they right more often than I was on my own? Yes, undoubtedly.
I don`t use a penny-stock boiler room for my stock portfolio and likewise I don`t use a sports pick service run by a guy named "Lou" that uses a 1-800 number. I use a professional service that is reputable and transparent. The name of it is Mycapper, and in my opinion it`s the best service around today.
Their top handicapper in the NFL this season is MasterBets, hitting 59.7% of all plays. For those of you who know anything about sports betting that`s a great record, and one that you can follow for a healthy profit. If some scam artist is promising you 75% winners or even 65% winners in the NFL look elsewhere.
My final piece of advice to you is to keep great records of all your bets. Look at them honestly and see what you`re really batting at - my feeling is that if you`re doing it on your own without expert help it will not be higher than 53% and you`ll be making a loss. I know I was, but all that is definitely changing this season...
