November 4 - Pokerroom.com, the online poker room powered by the Ongame poker
network, will soon block all US players. As a final goodbye they are scheduling
a series of "winner takes all" sit and go tournaments. Pity the way they decided
to invite players will probably insult a lot of them...
US players visiting
Pokerroom.com will be greeted with a big "US Goodbye" banner, which on the
surface appears to be a nice gesture. Clicking on the banner reveals a rather
amateurishly written message, which will leave even a hardened cowboy fighting
to keep his breakfast down.
"Goodbye USA!"
"Farwell all you Buckaroos, take a last ride on your cayuse. Now it`s time for
you to cinch-up, so don`t you dare bush-up!"
"But the sun hasn`t set yet, so keep on fighting `til the cows come home!"
"This last Sit&Go tournament is our homage to all you cowboys out west. We`re
sure gonna miss you!"
"A big howdy from PokerRoom.com!"
Last time I checked, most American`s couldn`t give a damn about a cayuse,
wouldn`t know what a Buckaroos was even if it stepped on their toe, and probably
think "Howdy" is a way to say hello.
Funny, insulting, or just plain silly? You be the judge.
