Online casino payment processor EcoCard Ltd is reported to be leaving the
online casino industry. Rumors of the company abandoning online gamblers have
surfaced since the guilty plea by NETeller this week.
EcoCard is yet to make a formal company statement but numerous operators
report to have been told that payments from their sites will no longer be
processed. longer be accepted.
According to a spokes person from the Jackpot Factory group, EcoCard informed
them that they will exit the US market but will replace the EcoCard system with
an alternative payment option in due course.
EcoCard is a relatively small payment processor, and are seen to be making a
preemptive move to avoid the problems encountered by NEteller which included the
DOJ freezing player funds.
