October 18 - The 2007 Breeders' Cup will be held at Monmouth Park in New Jersey, and will now take place over two days for the first time in BC history. The highlight of the meeting will still be the Breeders' Cup Classic, the $5 million horse race that will determine the champion racehorse in the USA for the season.

The Classic has attracted the smallest field out of all the Breeders' Cup races for 2007 with only 9 pre-entrants, however, it is a top quality field and should prove difficult to handicap from a betting perspective.
All the top American three-year-olds are expected to run: Street Sense (Kentucky Derby), Curlin (Preakness Stakes), Any Given Saturday, Tiago, and Hard Spun. The older division will be represented by Lawyer Ron, who has the best form of any horse this season, and the Irish raider George Washington, back in training after failing as a stallion.
The race with the most entrants so far is the 2007 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, a new race at the meeting, which has attracted 23 runners. Obviously many of those horses will not make it into the final field.
The Breeders' Cup will be held on October 26 and 27 at Monmouth Park, and betting for all races will be available at all top online racebooks.
