July 15 - Down the stretch they come in the Main Event of the 2007 World Series Of Poker, and of the last 36 players with a chance to win there are multiple WSOP bracelet winners mixed in with the usual "who dat?" collections of amateurs (read future poker pros)...
Here are the Main Event results to date including the latest chip counts for each player. We have italicized the guys you may have heard of, or will have heard of by the time the dust settles.
The best players left in the event include Vegas pros Bill Edler (who also won a bracelet at this year's 2007 WSOP) and Daniel Alaei, as well as bracelet-wearers like Lee Watkinson, Bob Slezak, and Alex Kravchenko.
There is one former winner of the Main Event still in the hunt, the one-of-a-kind Scotty Nguyen, and although he has nearly two million in chips he is more than 5x behind the chip leader!
