April 28 - We've got the latest 2008 Kentucky Derby odds for every betting market you can imagine, from the standard odds as to which horse will actually win "The Run For The Roses" all the way to head-to-head prop bets whereby you can bet on one horse to finish in front of another. These Kentucky Derby lines come to us live from Bodog and provide an array of potential betting action.
Horseplayers right now are torn because they know two mutually contradictory facts: 1) Big Brown is the best horse in the race and 2) He's only run three times and no horse can win the modern Kentucky Derby off only three previous runs. Just ask the connections of Curlin if you think that's not true.
Big Brown does have early pace and if he can stay out of trouble early in the race he might have a shot. But a more likely scenario is that three horses with late pace can fight this one out. Those three are Colonel John, Z Fortune, and Visionaire.
Z Fortune has to be great each-way value. His formline is very solid, he has a top trainer/jockey combination, and the race should set up well for him.
If you want a longshot in the betting we recommend Visionaire who will be finishing best of all and could spring a big upset on the day.
