Dwight Howard (3/1) of the Orlando Magic is second favorite to Kobe Bryant of
the Los Angeles Lakers (1/3).
Howard finished the Cleveland Series with a a career
postseason-high of 40 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists. This adds Howard to
a prestigious list of players in the last 15 years who have averaged 20 points
and 15 rebounds per game, having played at least ten games. The only other
players were Shaquille O'Neal and Tim Duncan.
Duncan and Shaq both won NBA
titles when they achieved those stats so Howard will be hoping that it' a good omen
for the Magic.
Bryant has now scored at least 500 points in four different postseasons and
only Michael Jordan has done it more (eight times).
It's hard to imagine any other player than Bryant being MVP.
2009 NBA Finals MVP odds for other players:
Rashard Lewis 13.0
Hedo Turkoglu 16.0
Lamar Odom 31.0
Pau Gasol 9.0
