the loss of its US business following the online gambling ban was partly offset
by its aggressive expansion into alternative markets, and that its revenues grew
by 7% in 2006...

Thsi news comes despite the group's U.S.
withdrawal. Net gaming revenue for the group is reported to be $290 million (or £148 million),
which represents surprising growth when compared to the $271 million in 2005.
888.com has been focusing on non-US markets following the signing into law of
the Unlawful
Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, the new law in the U.S. which bans financial transactions with online gambling sites.
The group's revenues from non-U.S. region was up by 28 percent to $157 million
US dollars. Following suspension of 888.com's US business in October 2006, the average daily
number of new depositors dropped by 37 percent. 888 however did however
report solid growth for the period, and reports that it has 3.6 million members now
playing at its websites, and a 35 percent
increase in real money customers in Q4 2006.
