May 20 - Online casino and poker group 888.com, has announced its sponsorship
of the exciting World Heads Up Poker (WHUP) championship. The event is to be
held from May 21 to May 29 at the Casino Barcelona in Spain. This is the seventh
year for this event and it has grown in popularity each year...

The heads up format will have 128 competitors. They play in one-on-one
elimi9nation matches and the game is no-limit Texas Hold'em poker. The winner of
the final receives a 125,000 Euros prize, and the final 16 a share in a 320,000
Euros prize pool. 888.com has been running online qualifiers for a number of
months now and is sending 12 online qualifiers to Barcelona to participate in
the event.

events to associate the brand with and to be the title sponsor of the largest
heads-up poker tournament in the world continues to help 888.com cement its
position as one of the leading poker rooms," a 888.com spokes person said.
888.com already sponsors a number of televised poker events.
