888.com To License WagerWorks Online Casino Games - 10-20-08

October 20 -  Last week 888 Holdings announced a new strategic agreement with WagerWorks Inc, the online games subsidiary of International Game Technology (IGT), a leading global provider of land-based and online gaming solutions.

As part of the deal, 888.com will provide some of WagerWorks' games to its customer. The deal initially includes these video slots games: "Monopoly with Pass "Go" Bonus", "Cluedo", "Wheel of Fortune Hollywood Edition" and "Cleopatra". These are all completely unique games, the likes of Monopoly being developed under exclusive license by WagerWorks.

888.com made its strategy known at the start of the year and is following through on its promise to deliver quality branded content. The games will be accessible from various 888 owned websites as well as through its white label partners.

Senior VP and Managing Director for 888, Gabi Campos, said: "888 is continually looking to improve the customer experience, and the addition of WagerWorks' world class games will make an important contribution to that. The agreement with WagerWorks helps us to strengthen our brand content offering with world renowned brands. These will prove especially attractive to our new bingo customers and customers of our land-based casinos B2B partners, many of whom will be familiar with the games from playing them offline. It is an important step in helping us to further facilitate the movement from offline to online gaming, as 888 becomes a premium provider of bespoke technology, marketing and analysis to land-based casinos."

Paul Mathews, President of WagerWorks, said: "We pride ourselves on the quality of our games. We are delighted that 888 has shown their confidence in WagerWorks' ability to deliver titles that will allow them to stay at the forefront of player attraction and loyalty."

The moves follow on a another game licensing deal announced by 888 last month, where they will expand their relationship with CryptoLogic to license up to 13 games.
