Herewith a formal press release from IOG Casinos:
"Due to the recent enactment of the Federal 'Unlawful Internet Gambling
Enforcement Act' in the United States Senate on September 30th, 2006, IOG
Casinos are sad to announce that, effective from today, Friday 13th October, we
will no longer be able to accept any new US based players, and that those US
players already enjoying our services will no longer be able to wager and
deposit at any of our clients.
The world is a very large place though, and IOG Casinos will now be
concentrating on traffic from the non-US English speaking world, and mainland
Europe.
With the possibility of legislation in the US hanging over our heads for many
years, IOG Casinos foresaw possible issues arising from this and are already a
market leader in the non-US arena.
With many of our casinos and websites already translated into French,
Spanish, Italian, German, Swedish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese and with
support services and call centers provided in localized languages, IOG Casinos
already has a reputation of excellence amongst the players throughout these
markets. "
IOG operates online casinos like
Casino Las Vegas and
Swiss Casino, among
others as well as Fair Poker.
This leaves the olden Palace Casino group as the only Playtech licensed group
to continue is US operations. The group's casinos gambling sites still accepting US players are:
