Argentina and South Korea Good Bet To Advance - 06-22-10

June 22 - The 2010 World Cup in South Africa will switch into high gear tomorrow as four games a day will take place in order to determine the final outcomes of the eight groups. Group A and Group B will both play tomorrow, and in the latter group South Korea should be a good bet to join Argentina in the round of Sixteen.

South Korea are 16/10 favorites to beat Nigeria in their final group game. Nigeria need to win and by a margin in order to have any chance of going through. The disappointing African team are currently 2/1 to eke out their first win of the tournament, while the draw is priced up at 5/2. We think South Korea is the better team and should claim all three points.

Greece have a huge task against the very impressive Argentina team, and will be lucky to get anything from this match. Argentina is 6/10 for the game with the draw at 3/1. You can write your own ticket (almost) on a highly unlikely Greek win.

If Argentina win the game South Korea will only need one point from their game to go through. An Argentina win would also be good news for Nigeria as they would then qualify if they could find a way past South Korea, despite a terrible loss last time to Greece.

There are plenty of permutations to keep World Cup punters intrigued tomorrow, and we haven't even considered the two early matches that will determine the fate of Group A.

Group A, however, looks simpler to predict and we should see Mexico and Uruguay qualify barring a sensational result between France and South Africa.
