2006/07 Verdict: With a very soft schedule the Cardinals once again failed to live up the preseason hype, as they seem to do every year. They played very poor teams and still ended up winning only 5 games. They were inconsistent and had almost no defense, putting too much pressure on a very talented rookie QB, who still has plenty of upside. The Cardinals also didn't have luck on their side (as anyone who watched the Bears game on MNF can attest), and were probably better than their SU record suggests.
2007/08 Mycapper.com Prediction: UP
This year the pressure is off the Cardinals as everyone is now hyping the 49ers and expecting the Seahawks to be even stronger. Arizona could be a spoiler and might even end up with 8 wins as Leinart continues on his upward learning curve, but realistically they should be happy if they end up 7-9. The defense should improve with a new head coach, but the Cardinals face a very tough schedule this season and there are other teams that offer far better ATS betting value.
