2006/07 Record: 13-3. Playoff loss to the Colts
2006/07 Verdict: This was the best NFL team in the regular season. Their record was not equal to that of the Chargers, but they were still the better team. Unfortunately they ran into a Colts team that suddenly found its defensive spark at the perfect time, and the season ended in failure instead of the success that was warranted for a spectacular defense. Will 07/08 be their year?
2007/08 Mycapper.com Prediction: UP
The Ravens have had one of the best NFL defenses of all time during Coach Billick's tenure. That's odd since he came to the club as a purported offensive genius. He's been offensive, and he's clearly talented, just not in the way that was expected. He's also had the good fortune to coach an unbelievably talented group of players on one side of the ball while being cursed with mediocrity on the other side. This is the first year that all the pieces are in place. The running game is there, and if McNair can stay fairly healthy (he is so beat up that by now he will never be anything better than questionable for a game, but he has tons of heart) then this team can (gulp) win the Super Bowl. They are our preseason pick to go all the way, heaven help them!
