January 4 - It's been a very interesting College Bowl season from a football betting perspective as the results have mirrored the College Football year as a whole, namely plenty of underdog upsets. Last night saw Kansas upset Virginia Tech, hot on the heels of West Virginia's underdog destruction of Oklahoma. Now all that remains to be decided is the BCS champion - the big one as LSU takes on Ohio State on Monday night.

The spread for the game opened with LSU favored by as many as 6 points. The oddsmakers faded them to this extent primarily because this is treated as a home game for them - it's played in New Orleans, Louisiana so the expectation is that most of the fans will cheer for LSU.
Betting support has come for Ohio State though and the latest spread is -4.5 points for LSU at Bodog's sportsbook. Some online bookies have even gone as low as -3.5 points. Ohio State were torched in last year's BCS Championship game by Florida, and it's anyone's guess as to how they will fare on Monday in what has been a topsy-truvy year of college football results, to say the least.
