Bet The NFL Playoffs With Our WildCard Betting Preview - 01-02-08

January 2 - The 2008 NFL Playoffs begin this Saturday and Sunday with four Wildcard games to bet on. There have already been a number of significant betting moves with the spread shifting in all four games as the public betting money has come pouring in.

Online sportsbooks are expecting an increase in betting turnover for the NFL playoffs despite draconian laws in the USA to try and ban Internet gambling. Sports betting is still alive and well with Americans finding ways to do what they want with their own money (imagine that, personal freedom, who would have thought?).

The four NFL playoff games with betting moves are as follows:

Washington at Seattle, Saturday at 4:30 PM EST. The line opened with the Seahawks favored by 5 points. Plenty of betting support for the Redskins has moved the line to -3.5 points with some sportsbooks even going as low as -3 points (-130 on Seattle at that number).

Jacksonville at Pittsburgh, Saturday at 8:00 PM EST. The line opened with the Steelers favored by 1 points but a flood of money has shifted this spread entirely so that the Jaguars now find themselves as road favorites of -2 points.

New York at Tampa Bay, Sunday at 1:00 PM EST. The line opened with the Bucs installed as -1 point favorites. The latest spread for the game is Tampa Bay -3 points (Bucs are +100 at that number). We would expect this line to solidify at -2.5 points for the home team.

Tennessee at San Diego at 4:30 PM EST. The line opened with the Chargers favored by a TD at -7 points. The latest spread suggests that a lot of public action is for the Chargers to cover as they're now -9 points at most sportsbooks, with one or two pushing them out to -10 points.

Our advice is to take all the home teams, they're generally too tough to handle. So bet on the Seahawks, Steelers, Bucs, and Chargers!

There is a free NFL pick for the wildcard game between the Giants and Bucs available right now only at Mycapper.com, the one sports handicapping service that we recommend.

USA residents can still bet on the NFL online if they sign up at Bodoglife's sportsbook where every deposit earns you bonus free money!
