Blackjack Switch Rules

Blackjack Switch

Players playing Blackjack Switch, are allowed to 'switch' their second cards around, if so desired. This game is available at all Playtech Online Casinos such as Casino Las Vegas.

IE: Should a player be dealt a King / 5 on his 1st hand, and a 6 / Ace on his 2nd, then he may 'switch' the second cards, that being the Ace and the 5 around to make the following 2 hands : King/Ace and 6 / 5. As with regular blackjack., all doubling and splitting is allowed.

To balance this powerful advantage, the dealer will 'push' the players' hands on a dealer's total of 22, as opposed to busting in the normal game.

A 21 point or 'Blackjacks' will still win. The player therefore still has an enormous advantage and thus 2 further rules are implemented :

1. Blackjacks pay even money.

2. Dealer hits soft 17.

All rules of Blackjack Switch are based on conventional Blackjack unless written otherwise. The following are the exceptions:

  • 6 card-decks are used.
  • The player must make 2 bets of equal size.
  • All cards are dealt face-up.
  • The player may only switch the second card dealt to each hand.
  • The player may double on any 2 cards.
  • The player may double after a split.
  • The player may not re-split.
  • Full European no-peek rule - the player loses total amount bet against a dealer Blackjack. A benefit of this rule is that the player can switch to a Blackjack, even if the dealer has a Blackjack.
