Bodog Poker Gets WSOP Boost From Jamie Gold - 08-10-06
August 11 - The latest WSOP news is that the main event should be won by Jamie Gold. Right now Gold has a substantial 2:1 chip lead over his nearest competitor on the final day of the 2006 WSOP Main Event with only 6 players remaining at the final table.
Jamie Gold has a huge 38 million chip stack, which means he is the overwhelming favorite to win the World Series Of Poker no-limit hold'em championship. This would be a huge coup for his sponsor, Bodog Poker.

Bodog Poker sent more than 400 online qualifiers to the Main Event this year at the World Series Of Poker, and the Bodog lounge was one of the more pleasant and welcoming sites at the overcrowded convention center at the Rio.
Jamie Gold is currently giving them enough exposure to repay sending all those players one hundred times over. He is in a commanding position at the WSOP although Allen Cunningham is still in, and lurking as the biggest threat to a Gold victory.
Here are the updated chip counts from the final table of the 2006 Main Event, with only six players still in it:
