Rake:
The rake is determined by the number of players seated at each
table, the size of the table stakes and of course the size of the pot.
For Pot Limit and No Limit (stakes up to $0.10/$0.25) the rake per pot
is $0.01 for each $0.20 in the pot. Stakes higher than $0.10/$0.25 the
rake is $0.05 for each $1.00 in the pot (5%). Players can view the
complete rake structure in the House Rules section under the sub
heading, Bovada Rake.
Traffic:
Traffic at Bovada took a slight dip after the transition, but
players still won`t have to wait around for tables to fill up during
peak playing times. The old Bodog players now play at Bovada, so this
isn`t like a new site that slowly gains new players, it already had a
large following of regular players.
Software And Features:
The software is always improving. Here are some of the key elements: New
tournament formats added such as Omaha tourneys, Shootouts, Knockouts
and Heads Up tourneys. These can be located in the scheduled section.
Rabbit Cam: If you lose, it allows you to see what the next card would
have been. Players can also play multiple tournaments and play on
Anonymous Tables and the games also have In-Client blackjack. The Poker
download is just under 40MB.
Supported Games And Limits:
This site has a wide variety of different poker games,
including: Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Texas Hold`em and two Seven Card Stud
varieties, plus Five Card Stud. They also have Pot Limit, No Limit and
Fixed Limit games as well as Heads Up, Full Table Games, Sit n Go`s,
Scheduled Tournaments and cash games with entrance fees ranging from
between $2 right up to $2000. Deposit And Withdrawal Options:
Visa, Direct Bank Transfer, Courier Check and MyPaylinQ.
Competition:
There are plenty of beginners tables and low stake tables, but
these also attract the sharks so play your game well and always be on
the look out. Don`t just expect the lower level tables to have newbies
playing on them. There are (at peak times) approximately 35,000 players.
Player Services:
Bovada continue to provide an efficient and friendly customer support
network which is available 24/7.
Downsides:
The Poker software is still `run of the mill` and not regarded as
the best available today.
The poker rooms/services are unavailable to most players from outside
the US. |
