Bad service, a run of bad luck or even a simple gut feel and we're off, surfing the Net for an alternative. We have never had it this good, but a few minutes of homework could make a big difference...

Although there has been a bit of a slowdown of late, new online casinos still keep popping up regularly. I have to admit that I find it amusing to see new operators entering the market. On the surface, running an online casino looks like a simple path to riches for many uninformed people. I have lost track of the number of times I have had a discussion that starts off with something like "Surely its easy. We just get a website and someone else's software and off we go," or "How much money do you reckon I need? Will about $200 K be enough?". I really have to contain myself. Not just from laughter, but from a seriously angry outburst. My foremost concern is for player's safety, and not because of any malicious intent on behalf of such a new entrant, but purely because they grossly underestimate what it takes to run a casino. At the end of the day, there is only one loser - the player.

I have lost track of the number of emails I get, introducing me to new casinos, with a request to promote them. They usually go straight into the trash can. I don't care how much money you raised, and I care even less that your cousin is making a killing at casino xyz. My usual response is to come back in 2 years time, if you're still around.
