August 8 - Football betting is right around the corner with NFL preseason games and College Football set to start as well. We asked the guys who make college football picks for a living to come up with our soon-to-be patented Wiseguy Power Rankings for the NCAA. These are the Top 10 teams from a betting point of view, so pay close attention!

1. USC - The dynasty looks set to continue. Plenty of returning starters + the best recruits in the country. Go against them at your peril.
2. Wisconsin - Our pick to win the Big Ten, and great betting value early in the season. Tend to falter later on in the year, but no team gets out of the gates faster.
3. West Virginia - An explosive running game usually translates into ATS wins at the College level, and this should hold true here.
4. Hawaii - This team is likely to go unbeaten for the season, will score a ton of points at home, and should get a lot of covers. Stay up late to watch your tickets cash in.
5. Texas - A great young QB in the making, and we think they'll be hard to stop this season so expect more than 10 wins for yet another year.
6. UCLA - Very good ATS value at home in the Pac-10. Need to show that their huge win over USC last season was no fluke, but we think they're the real deal.
7. Rutgers - The Wiseguys secret weapon this year. Bet on them and you will show a profit.
8. LSU - A very tough conference, otherwise they'd rank higher. A lot of talent on this team, so watch out!
9. South Carolina - This is the year when Steve Spurrier comes into his own. Excellent ATS team in the making for '07.
10. Virginia - A lot of starters return for a good coach. That tends to be a recipe for college betting success.
