September 2 - Forget about the NFL preseason, which ended yesterday - the real business of betting on football starts with the first Saturday of NCAA action. There is a huge card of College Football (CFB) games to bet on with online sportsbooks throughout the day, and the latest news is that lines for certain games are already on the move.

We looked at the College Football odds available currently at Bodog.com and isolated a few betting trends of our own. 2006 is going to be a bumper year for betting on college games and watching market moves is a key to stuffing your bankroll with profits.
In the early games with a 3:30 PM EST kickoff, support has come for underdogs like Northern Illinois who travel to the Ohio State (current line for that game is 17 points from an opening call of 20 points in favor of Ohio State), and for Akron, who have shortened by 6 points in the line. That game, which is against Penn State saw the Nittany Lions open as 23.5-point favorites, but that number has now been trimmed to 17.5 points.
Favorites that have found betting support include Oregon, Nebraska, and Indiana who are all at home to begin their college football 2006 campaigns.
