March 26 - Today is massive for horse racing betting fans who appreciate the truly global nature of the sport of kings. It's Dubai World Cup night, with eight races on a stellar card. The main event is worth $10 million alone, and is easily the most valuable race on the planet. We'd like to help you make some shrewd bets as there are commingled tote pools that should provide some substantial payouts.
Race 1 is for purebred Arabians, and not exactly in our field of expertise, so we'll pass on that one.
Race 2 is the 5f sprint on turf and the world's best sprinter (with all due respect to Black Caviar, a nice little filly in Australia who has never beaten a horse outside of her native land) JJ The Jet Plane, will be a worthy favorite. The distance is a bit sharp for him but his preparation has been good, and if he is at his best he will doddle home here. Take JJ THE JET PLANE to win.
Race 3 is very competitive and we're looking for a big priced result here. Red Jazz and Skysurfers are weak co-favorites. The former has fitness concerns, and the latter has a shocker of a draw. The value play here is I WANT REVENGE. Imbongi should run in the first three for Trifecta players.
Race 4 is the UAE Derby, which is usually won by either de Kock or Suroor for their respective Sheik masters. It should play out a little differently with a two horse race between Mahbooba and Xin Xu Lin, who is trained by Godolphin's other man, Marooni. Our preference is for the unknown quantity for Godolphin, the Brazilian import XIN XU LIN. We here she is something special.
Race 5 is the other big sprint and should be no race for ROCKET MAN. He deserves a big win on this stage. He won't be much betting value, though, and if you're looking for a longshot in this race add Sunny King to exotics.
Race 6 is our best value bet on the night. Take RIVER JETEZ to record a huge win for de Kock. She has superb South African form and her last run in Dubai suggests she is at her best. It's a competitive race but this mare is top class and can win at a good price.
Race 7 is harder to handicap but the US raider CHAMP PEGASUS has our attention. He could be a double-digit price and this horse has the form to win this race. There is a lot of money for Rewilding and Dangerous Midge, but Champ Pegasus and his connections aren't here to enjoy the desert vistas. Expect a big run.
Race 8 is the big one, and it looks very tough. Twice Over ran too big first time out in Dubai and has an awful draw. On form Cape Blanco should hack up here but hasn't run in ages. The rest of the field look fortunate to be running for this sum of cash, although the Japanese runners could be anything. Our advice is to take Cape Blanco. Coolmore hates Goldophin and wouldn't be here if they thought they couldn't win the World Cup. CAPE BLANCO for the win.
Enjoy a great day of horse racing!
