The 100 Seals campaign was launched in May this year when 76 already held the
Seal. eCOGRA now have 107 accredited sites on its list. These all represent what
the organization calls "tier 1" operators. These operators mainly use
software from 888 Holdings, Ongame and Microgaming.
Meeting the target this well ahead of schedule is a testimony of the demand
for Seal amongst the world's leading online gambling sites, and from a player
perspective this is very encouraging as it proves the willingness of gambling
operators to commit to the strictest standards of player protection, customer
service and efficiency.
"Achieving the number of Seal we set our to award not signifies a major shift
in the industry where players are consistently seeking out the "Play It Safe"
seal. It also proves the desire and ability of the industry to self-regulate,"
said eCOGRA CEO Andrew Beveridge. "We invite other online gambling operators to
join some of the most successful online gambling sites in the world, if they are
ready to commit to our standards."
The latest 'Play it Safe' Seals have been awarded to two groups that are
certified by Online Gambling Insider, and have been accredited with our $1,000
deposit guarantee. The first group is one of the largest casino operators - The
Casino Rewards Group (read our
