SELECTION: Bet on the ANGELS
ANALYSIS: At 8:10 pm our complimentary selection is on the Los Angeles Angels over the Kansas City Royals. The Angels go for a 3 game sweep of the Royals tonight in Kansas City and there is no reason to think they won't get it.
Because Angels righthanded starter Ervin Santana is not off to a good start this season, and because the Royals are going with their hot young lefty Jorge De La Rosa at home, the line is about even. But De La Rosa is very inexperienced, while Santana is a quality starter who will get it together, and perhaps most importantly, the Angels have been murdering lefthanders, batting a scorching .291 as a team against them.
Not to mention the fact that the Angels have a much better bullpen than KC, highlighted by perhaps the best closer in baseball, Francisco "K-Rod" Rodriguez. Then add the fact that L.A. has absolutely owned the Royals of late (they are 40 - 15 in the last 55 meetings) and that KC's pitching is so banged up that they can hardly field a complete team and you have a nice situation.
