November 23 - Full Tilt Poker dominates online poker news for the right reasons. Their publicity is positive at a time when other online poker rooms would absolutely welcome the opportunity to crawl under a rock. Full Tilt has just finished an incredibly successful series of MTT events - known as the 'FTOPS', and then signed up a couple of online poker's best young players.

The online poker pros that they will now sponsor are Jonathan "FieryJustice" Little, and Scott "BigRiskky" Clements. Little has become one of the best poker tournament players around, whether online or in a bricks & mortar environment. Clements impressed all who saw him play at the North American Poker Championships - an event where FieryJustice once again went deep.
Full Tilt Poker also signed Jared Hamby, Jordan Morgan, and Jon Turner to deals this year. They narrowly missed out on endorsing Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad, the winner of the first World Series Of Poker Europe Main Event. She opted for Betfair's new poker room instead.
Even when the news is "negative" it is still good copy and even better publicity - like the internal email that Howard Lederer sent regarding Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke in which he called him 'a weird kid' and 'a freak'. Gobboboy had written to Full Tilt asking for sponsorship. Lederer had thought it prudent not to for the reasons above, but that email was then leaked and fell into Gobboboy's hands! He then posted it on the Twoplustwo forum, and a good laugh was enjoyed by all.
Contrast this harmless faux pas with Absolute Poker's leak of hand histories where the hole cards of all the players could be seen internally, and the subsequent firestorm that has engulfed that particular poker room.
The bottom line is that Full Tilt Poker has done everything right from day 1. The site is all about top poker players and the thrill of competing against them online, and the bonuses and service you receive there make them the only legitimate threat to Poker Stars.
