2006/07 Record: 8-8.
2006/07 Verdict: Two years ago the Packers and the Favre era were dead and buried with a dismal 4-12 season. But last season the team rallied and managed a very solid 8-8 season. They have some young motors on defense who make a lot of plays, and the O-Line gave their aged QB incredible protection. The stats are a little inflated thanks to some soft games, notably the last meeting with the Bears when Chicago rested many starters and the other starters rested on the field. Of the other four playoff teams that Green Bay faced they went 0-4, which sums this team up just fine.
2007/08 Mycapper.com Prediction: DOWN
Hopefully this will in fact be the last season that Favre plays in the NFL because it is painful to watch him as he recedes ever further from his prime. This is a team that will be interesting to watch because they have good players on defense ('KGB', AJ Hawk) and are certainly competitive when they are at home and the chill of a Wisconsin winter sets in. We're betting that they finish at less than .500 this year, but it would not surprise us to see them scrounge 7 wins from this schedule. More than that seems optimistic as long as this QB is at the helm.
