2006/07 Verdict: The Texans were under scrutiny with a new head coach (Gary Kubiak) who rather incredibly passed on drafting Reggie Bush. The predictable result was another futile season that saw their QB pummeled out of a starting job. But there were positive signs - 6 wins with that tough of a schedule suggests that better seasons lie ahead.
2007/08 Mycapper.com Prediction: UP
This isn't an easy division but the Texans compete well against the other AFC South teams and they have a big upgrade at QB with Matt Schaub (the best backup in the league before this trade) replacing the ineffectual David Carr. That alone should see them leap up to at least an 8-8 season and possibly more. This team needs to perform consistently but ATS they are one of our picks for the upcoming season if Schaub stays healthy.
