Last season our Cincinnati Bengals betting preview was wrong, so very wrong, as we expected this team to make the playoffs and explode on offense. They did explode on offense, scoring 45 points at the Browns and they still lost that game. Like us the Bengals forgot about the defense. The offense wasn't even that consistent and this team had to rally with a 4-2 finish in the last 6 games just to finish a miserable 7-9 on the year. The Bengals are a poor team to bet on at home, covering only 38% of the time the last 3 seasons combined.

2008/09 Mycapper.com NFL Betting Prediction: UP

The Bengals aren't going to the playoffs this year but we predict that they win more games than they lose, both straight up and against the spread. There is talent here, and the oddsmakers are chalking this team up as though there isn't, which seems a little premature. To rank the Browns ahead of the Bengals seems incorrect, and we'll take our chances on this team + the points until they show that we're misguided, which of course is always a possibility. Some of the bad character guys are gone and if the team could focus on business they would really surprise a lot of people, mostly themselves one feels.
