Indianapolis Colts 2010 Super Bowl Odds - 08-26-09

August 26 - Although the Indianapolis Colts player roster has remained pretty much the same as the same it was in 2008, coach Tony Dungy has departed and has been replaced by Jim Caldwell.

Dungy's departure has seen most bookies offer conservative odds on the Colts winning Super Bowl XLIV. At BetUs they are 12-1 odds win win the 2010 Super Bowl.

But skepticism doesn't end there. Looking deeper into what the bookies thin, the Colts have a pretty bad predicted win total this season. Their over/under season win total as predicted by BEtUS odds makers is OVER 1o at -120. That's pretty bad as they have a good season average of 12 in the last six years.

This seems attributable to not only losing Dungy  but also a fallout involving the coordinators and things seem rather stormy on the sidelines with some strong personalities involved.

On a positive note, Payton Manning has been training pre-season, unlike last year when injury kept him out of the pre-season and he came in cold to the regular season games.

The Colts ended the regular season on a high note last year and won their last nine games. Fans will be hoping for that sort of consistency from them.

The Achilles heel for this team has been the running game but tit should see improvement with  the acquisition of running back Donald Brown.

Add to that the regular good [performances from Reggie Wayne and things are looking up. however, the lack of depth in these positions is what could hurt the Colts and remains a huge concern..

The colts are +150 favorites to win the AFC South title.
