Gold and a host of sports and movie celebs competed for a beautiful  Giantto watch. Second place prize was a buy in at the 2007 WSOP Main Event, and the third placed player was to receive an exclusive  Bodog Poker Set, including a custom-made poker table.

Following his bulldozing success at the 2006 WSOP main event, Jamie Gold continued his good form and won the event. Second place was Aaron Douglas from "Battlestar Galactica" fame. He will be competing in the 2007 WSOP main event thanks to Bodog.com

Other celbs at the event included UFC champ Phil "The NY Badass" Baroni, Michael Eklund (Intelligence), Woody Jeffries (Blond and Blonder) and Paul McGillion (Stargate: Atlantis).

In other news, the entertainment and online gambling giant announced this week that it would be pulling all gaming advertising in the U.S. in order to focus its efforts on expansion in international markets, and that it had moved its headquarters from Costa Rica to Antigua.

"Though the online gaming environment in the U.S. seems to be headed down a path toward eventual regulation, the current climate calls for even more focus of our gaming-related advertising dollars into markets that face Europe and Asia," said Bodog founder and CEO Calvin Ayre in a statement. "We couldn't be better positioned to build upon our current success and growth and to continue our aggressive push toward international expansion into markets such as Europe and Asia."

About the Antigua move, he commented:

"This is another step aimed toward strengthening our business model," said Ayre. "This accords our gaming division a license in a safe, reliable and well-regulated jurisdiction and Antigua is also the right jurisdiction from where to run our European expansion."
