The three teams that appear likely to tangle with Australia in the last four are all trading around odds of 9/2. According to the oddsmakers the only other team left in the running is England, priced up at 33/1 to win the 2007 World Cup.
Of course they all trail the imperious Aussies who are now a miserly 12/10 for their third consecutive World Cup Cricket victory at most online bookmakers.
There have been few surprises in the Super Eight stage of the competition, with the Bangladesh win over South Africa qualifying as the biggest shock to date.
South Africa certainly bounced back in style today with their best effort of the tournament against the Windies. AB DeVilliers hammered 146 runs at the top of the order as the Proteas scored 356 runs in 50 overs. In reply the West Indies could only manage 289 runs, with the final 76 runs coming once the contest was already a foregone conclusion.
