This season's formline:
Last year we picked this team to make it to the Final Four in the 2010 March Madness tourney. That worked out really really dismally for us as the team tanked in the first round, losing in a landslide to Cal. This year we are tempering our expectations and still going with an Elite Eight slot for this team. They can't disappoint twice in a row, surely??
The Cardinals are certainly on par with the best in the Big East. They lost in OT against Notre Dame, and beat Syracuse and Pittsburgh in recent games. They also flicked aside St John's by 25, so of the top 5 teams in their conference there is evidence that they might be the best. Assuming they continue this solid play and get a decent draw expect them to holla and make some noise in the big one.
