The Microgaming website also appears to be blocking Kentucky as residents as
it was one of the 141 domain names earmarked for seizure.
The sites were given 30 days by the court to stop offering their services to
Kentucky residents.
The ruling stated that id measures were "reasonably established to the
satisfaction of the Kentucky's Justice and Safety Cabinet or this Court that
such geographical blocks are operational, (they) shall be relieved from the
effects of the Seizure order and from any further proceedings in the instant
civil forfeiture action."
Various Microgaming sites have posted disclaimers, for instance on the
Intertops.com
Casino website a link on their home page titled "Important legal notice
and disclaimer" states that "no bets will be accepted in the Casino or the Poker
room if placed from: Michigan, Illinois, Louisiana, Oregon, Wisconsin, Nevada,
Washington, Indiana, South Dakota, New Jersey, Utah, Kentucky and New York."
More sites are expected to follow suit. We will keep our readers up to speed.
