2006/07 Record: 6-10.
2006/07 Verdict: The Brad Childress era started out strong as the Vikings began 4-2 with a suddenly proficient defense (never evident under former head coach Mike Tice) and an ominously inept defense. Then the wheels came off and the season was sacrificed so that Tavaris Jackson could be blooded. The Vikings were certainly bloodied going 2-8 SU and ATS to close out the season, and one still doesn't know if it was worth it. Will Tavaris mature into a decent starter this season? If not Childress and Jackson will be in a race with Coughlin and Manning to see who can hit the unemployment hole first.
2007/08 Mycapper.com Prediction: DOWN
Expect very little from Minnesota this season, although their running game should be decent. Jackson doesn't look like a quality starter to us and there is no one to replace him. Childress looks in over his head at this juncture and a season win total of 4 or 5 looks sadly possible. This could well be one of the weakest teams in the NFL and they're lucky that they're in the weakest conference because at least they get to play the Packers and Lions twice.
