On December 5, the
San Diego Chargers are on the road against the
Jacksonville Jaguars, in the 14th Monday Night Football matchup of
the 2011-12 NFL regular season at 8:30 PM EST.
Let's face it, neither the San Diego Chargers (4-7) nor the Jacksonville
Jaguars (3-8) have a chance in hell of making the playoffs this season
as both have been playing as badly as the other. Jaguars' bosses seem to
have woken up to this fact last week, which explains why they fired head
coach Jack Del Rio, who failed to deliver a winning season since 2007.
The Chargers, meanwhile, seem to have developed a nasty habit of
'snatching defeat from the jaws of victory,' as they proved again last
week, when they lost to the Denver Broncos in overtime. Still, they will
start against the Jaguars as the slight favorites on Monday.
Statistically, San Diego's over is 30-12-4 in their last 46 games on the
road, while their under is 10-4 in their last 14 games played on grass,
and they are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games played in December.
Meanwhile, Jacksonville's under is 10-1 in their last 11 games played
overall, they are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games contested in Week 13,
and they are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Monday Night Football matchups. |
