Utah Jazz at Indiana Pacers (-9)
The Indiana Pacers may have narrowly lost 85-81 to the Magic last time out,
breaking their four-game winning streak, but there is no doubt they'll bounce
back when they host the Utah Jazz this evening, a team that has been struggling
of late to find the necessary form to rise in the NBA rankings. Utah will be focused on avoiding a season high fourth consecutive road defeat
tonight, while Indiana will be intent on getting back onto a winning streak. For
this reason, tonight's game could be a fairly frenzied affair and certainly a
game worth watching as well as wagering on.
Our Pick: Pacers
Cleveland Cavaliers at Miami Heat (-13)
Both the Cleveland Cavaliers and their fans were hoping talented guard Daniel
Gibson would be given the all-clear to return to the court tonight. However,
with his neck ailment still acting up, he'll sit out his fifth straight game,
which could be a problem for his team. When he'll be declared fit to play again,
everyone wants to know. That said, the Cavaliers have covered the spread in 8 of their last 10
showdowns, and even though tonight they will also be without the services of
injured shooting guard Anthony Parker and rookie power forward Tristan Thompson,
the Cavs should certainly bring the heat to the Heat, despite their rivals
having the home advantage.
Our Pick: Cavaliers
Charlotte Bobcats at Boston Celtics (-14)
More than a few NBA betting fans wrote the Boston Celtics off this season when
they lost 8 of their first 12 games, many attributing the team's poor fortunes
to its aging lineup. However, clearly peeved at being written off so quickly,
the Celtics eventually pulled up their socks, and began to turn their season
around. Defensively especially, Boston seem to have turned the corner, having
given up an average of just 81.2 points per game over their last nine games. And
in terms of tonight's game against the Charlotte Bobcats, we expect the the
hosts to pull out their A-game a send the Bobcats scampering back into the woods
for cover.
Our Pick: Celtics
