August 2 - After months of nervous waiting, speculation and annoyance, US
customers of NEteller can breathe a collective sigh of relief as the payment
processor has started to honor withdrawal requests. In line with its promises to
pay out customers in the US, Neteller have announced that they have until January 26, 2008 to
request withdrawals.
The accounts will remain inactive so they can not be used for any
transactions.

Initial reports from our regular visitors are that the process is efficient
and simple. One of our editorial associates received their funds within 24
hours after making a request . Speaking to our friends in the industry it sounds
like the process is working well across the board.
The US funds have been frozen since the arrest of Neteller founders Jim LeFebvre
and Stephen Lawrence. They both pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges.
The payout process has started as part of a deal agreed to by NEteller and
the DOJ.
NETeller also stooped accepting transactions from Canadians and has see its revenue
plunge by 54% since the North America withdrawal..
