2007/08 Verdict:
We made our clients a ton of money on this team last season by taking them as underdogs in all their postseason games including their famous upset win in the Super Bowl. By that stage we had figured out something that seemed pretty obvious to us - namely that this team was brilliant on the road. They went 10-2 ATS on the road in 2007 and ended up with a 14-6 ATS record overall. Full disclosure: this time last year we really though this team would be on the way down and our New York Giants 2007 betting preview could not have been more wrong.
2008/09 Mycapper.com NFL Betting Prediction: DOWN
The Giants are unlikely to repeat as Super Bowl champs, and they're also unlikely to repeat that stunning 14-6 ATS mark. This team will be no pushover and could easily win 9 or 10 games during the regular season, but everyone will be gunning for them and there will be no blindsind wins against the spread. The team could well squeak into the playoffs once again, although it is hard to see them offering good betting value this time around.
