NFL Betting Prediction Broncos vs Vikings Week 4 - 09-02-10

September 2 - Watching NFL football games for the sheer enjoyment of the game is one thing, and betting on the outcome of games is another. While neither is wrong, there is no doubt that NFL betting packs a bigger punch in the adrenalin stakes.

And right now NFL betting fans are trying to figure out which teams and potential results will have the biggest chances of lining their pockets in this, Week 4, of the 2010 NFL pre-season. And here's where our top football experts can lend a hand.

One game that is attracting a lot of attention is tonight's highly anticipated showdown between the Denver Broncos and the Minnesota Vikings. Whatever the result, this should be a pretty good game, but from a betting perspective, here's our take.

For our money the Broncos should walk off the field tonight victorious. Why? Well, consider how in their last game against a supposedly better Pittsburgh Steelers they started as the underdogs, and yet managed to win by a none-too-shabby 34-17.

The Minnesota Vikings, meanwhile, started as the favorites in their last game against the Seattle Seahawks, and also walked off the field victorious posting a score of 24-13. But in tonight's big showdown, we feel the Broncos will have the edge.

It should also be interesting to see who play better, the Vikings' legendary quarterback Brett Favre or the Broncos' vastly improved quarterback, Kyle Orton. However, the Broncos seem to have more on the line and so should push harder.

However, leading online sportsbook BetUS disagrees with us. They have posted odds for tonight's game between the Denver Broncos and the Minnesota Vikings, and they've set the Vikings as the favorites and Denver as the underdogs:

  Point Spread Moneyline Total
Denver Broncos +4½  -110 +170 35  O -110   U -110
Minnesota Vikings -4½  -110 -210 35  O -110   U -110

Who is right? Well, you'll just have to wait and see.
