January 10 - Even after last weekend's exhilarating Wild Card Weekend matchups, which saw the
Saints, Giants, Texans and Broncos triumph, NFL betting fans are preparing for
this weekend's Divisional Playoffs, as are sportsbooks by posting up-to-date
NFL Divisional Playoffs odds. On Saturday the New Orleans Saints take on
the San Francisco 49ers, and the Denver Broncos take on the New England
Patriots, while on Sunday the New York Giants take on the Green Bay Packers, and
the Houston Texans take on the Baltimore Ravens.

New Orleans Saints (-3.5) vs San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick
Park
Even though the 49ers will have the home advantage on Saturday when they face
the Saints, NFL oddsmakers have laid the visitors as the -3.5 favorites. In
their last game the Saints dominated the Detroit Lions 45-28 at home. And
although the 49ers also beat their opponents - the St Louis Rams - last time out
34-27, it was not lost on NFL betting fans that they should have won by a far
greater margin considering the Rams were last in the NFC West on 2-13. For our
NFL betting buck the Saints will prove too strong for the Saints on Saturday. Denver Broncos vs New England Patriots (-14) at Gillette
Stadium
Despite the fact that Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has been granted a 'God-like
status' after he (with a little help from his friends) managed to defeat big
favorites the Steelers last weekend in something of an upset, he'll have his
hands full against the Patriots on Saturday for many reasons. One, the Patriots
have done little wrong this season, having dropped just three games, and thus
should be in fire come game time. Two, they will be far better rested than their
rivals and three, they'll have the home advantage. We cannot see the Patriots
losing here. New York Giants vs the Green Bay Packers (-9) at Lambeau
Field
There is no doubt that of all four Divisional Playoffs scheduled for the
weekend, this is the game that will attract the most viewers, because the
Packers are the defending Super Bowl champs, who only dropped a single game all
season long, making them the top team in the NFL. As such, the Giants, who
finished top of the lackluster NFC East on 9-7, will have their work cut out for
them on Sunday. Not only will they have to play in front of a huge Packers home
crowd, but they'll have to overcome a highly focused winning franchise. Expect
the Giants to be toppled. Houston Texans vs Baltimore Ravens (-9) at M&T Bank
Stadium
On Sunday the Houston Texans are on the road against the Baltimore Ravens in
what should shape up to be an exciting game. While most oddsmakers have the
Ravens as the big favorites, for our NFL betting buck, we see an upset. Even
though the Ravens ended the season on 12-4 - two wins more than the Texans -
they may have a bigger battle on their hands than they expect. Consider that the
Texans are 4-1 SU in their last five games on the road, and seem hungrier than
they've been in a long time to reach the Super Bowl. We predict an upset Houston
victory. NFL Divisional Playoffs Odds at
