NFL Football Betting Preview For Bears Vikings - 12-17-07
December 17 - Monday Night Football has been characterized this season by a number of unusually high NFL betting lines, with teams routinely favored by double-digit points spreads. It's happened again tonight as the Chicago Bears will face the Minnesota Vikings as +11 point underdogs at some online sportsbooks, and at least +10.5 points at all the rest.

The line for the game opened at -10.5 points in favor of the home team, who have won their last three games by blowout margins. The wiseguy money has reportedly all been for the Vikings causing some sportsbooks to move the number to -11 and even -12 in some cases.
The Bears are all but eliminated from the playoffs and will start third-string QB Kyle Orton. The Vikings have dominated the Bears at home from an ATS perspective going 6-1 the last 7 meetings. They are also 5-1 ATS their last six games this season and all the indicators point to an easy Minnesota win tonight.
The total points betting market has been relatively stable with the number staying pretty constant at 43 points since it opened.
