December 17 - Sunday sees Week 15 of the NFL regular season but in order to put the odds in your favor it helps to have a set of power rankings specifically fine-tuned for betting purposes. Here are the best and worst NFL teams according to their ATS (against the spread) statistics.

THE TOP 5 TEAMS ATS
1. Buffalo Bills 9-4-0 ATS (6-7-0 SU): Ranked #1 in terms of betting value because of the number of times they've been underdogs this season.
2. Tennesse Titans 9-4-0 ATS (6-7-0 SU): Started out as whipping boys but unbeatable ATS in recent weeks. Also note that they are 9-3-1 for 'Over' results in terms of total points.
3. Chicago Bears 9-4-0 ATS (11-2-0 SU): Bears have a lot of big wins to their credit and although the oddsmakers have tried to slow them down with double-digit spreads they have responded with easy covers.
4. New Orleans Saints 9-4-0 ATS (9-4-0 SU): Records mirror one another due to the Saints' high-powered offense and inventive, attacking style of coaching.
5. San Diego Chargers 8-5-0 ATS (11-2-0 SU): Currently the best team in the NFL, but that's not exactly a secret anymore for odddsmakers or bettors. Spreads could start to catch up to them in the last three weeks.
THE BOTTOM 5 TEAMS ATS
28. Washington Redskins 4-7-2 ATS (4-9-0 SU): The most overrated and overhyped team at the start of the season. Now that their season is done they may represent betting value in the last three weeks of the season, strangely enough.
29. Carolina Panthers 4-8-1 ATS (6-7-0 SU): Terrible season due mainly to injuries, although they are typically a team that fails to cover big spreads as favorites.
30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-8-1 ATS (3-10-0 SU): An anemic offense gives them little chance to cover spreads, and it doesn't look likely to improve down the stretch.
31. Detroit Lions 4-9-0 ATS (2-11-0 SU): Perhaps the worst team in the league right now which comes as no surprise based on form, and yet they were consistently overvalued in the lines throughout the first 10 weeks of the season.
32. Seattle Seahawks 4-9-1 ATS (8-6-0 SU): Most casual NFL bettors would be shocked to learn that this team has the worst ATS % in the league. Seahawks have historically underperformed against the spread under Holmgren, but this year has been particularly poor following their Super Bowl appearance.
