September 12 - There were some eye-opening performances from teams in the NFL last week, some exceptionally strong and others woefully inept. We've identified the five best and the five worst, which will make NFL picks for Week 2 a lot easier from an ATS perspective.

The Best Teams To Bet On:
1. The New England Patriots
They were the team to beat going into the new season but that effort at the Jets was in a different class. Hard to see past them this season, although this weekend's revenge game at home to the Chargers will shed more light on how good they really are.
2. Indianapolis Colts
Demolished the Saints and showed that at home they cannot be trifled with. Will have to see how they fare on the road, however, and there are a number of high-quality teams in their way this season.
3. Cincinnati Bengals
That was a big win in a rivalry game against the Ravens. This is a playoff quality team that can make a lot of noise and still offers good betting value.
4. Houston Texans
They were undervalued in week 1 and covered easily against the Chiefs. Look for that trend to continue throughout the season - this is a much-improved team with Schaub at the helm.
5. Seattle Seahawks
A lot of ink has been spilled about how the NFC West is wide open this season. It isn't. The Seahawks are far superior to the other three teams, and will cover ATS at home a lot this season.
