No More Firepay At Your Favourite Online Casino - 10-12-06

October 12 - Two more online gambling groups have announced that they are to stop accepting business from players in the USA. Online casino payment processor Fireone and Microgaming group Fairground Gaming are the latest casualties...

Still Good For US!

Fairground Gaming andf Fireone

Both have indicated their intention to stop all US business activities once Pre. Bush signs the bill into law.

They have also stated that costs cutting and restructuring initiatives are planned.

In a formal statement, FireOne said, 'The act will have a significant negative impact on the business ... and consequently the company has embarked upon a restructuring of its operations and cost base.' This means that US players will no longer be able to use their Firepay wallet to fund their gaming entertainment.

These two companies join a number of others who have indicated that they will pull out of the US once Bush signs the he Unlawful Internet Gambling Prohibition. The groups to pull out are mainly publicly traded.

Their decision leave many in the industry dumbfounded as the new law does not outlaw online gambling, but the processing by banks of financial transactions for gambling purposes.

Fairground Gaming owns The Palace Group, one of our most highly respected and recommended groups. They will continue to accept players from all over the world. We are quite disappointed by their decision to pull out of the US this soon, but still back their casino with our exclusive $1000 deposit guarantee. This is the first Microgaming operator to pull out of the US.
