May 8 - A former telecommunications software executive will join the 888.com
online casino group. The announcement comes in the wake of the storm raging
between numerous affiliates and 888.com over alleged unfair practices...
The 888.com board has announced that Gigi Levy will be taking over as Chief
Operations Officer. Levy previously held high profile management positions at a
telecommunications software provider and was responsible for that company's Western Europe,
Central and Latin America Business Units.
Levy will be stepping right into challenging situation. Several affiliate
organizations are up in arms over what they call "underhand and illegal tactics"
by 888.com. 888.com is being accused of using dubious tactics like site scraping and blog spamming to
to achieve better search engine rankings, thereby acquiring new customers for
the casino and poker brands.
