May 12 - Online casino and gambling software provider Cryptologic
announced today that first-quarter profits for the year were up by a huge 58 per cent to $7.7 million,
compared to the same period in 2005. With that comes the news that it
will launch an online casino licensed to Playboy...

"These great results bear testament to a very disciplined strategy and our
commitment to add value to our shareholders," said Lewis Rose, the CEO of
Cryptologic .
"Our focus on delivering products that are customized to various geographic
regions have enabled us to capitalize on growth markets."
Now Cryptologic have announced a major scoop. It will license an online
casino to adult magazine publisher Playboy, under a three year contract.
Cryptologic will operate the casino, provide payment infrastructure as well as
customer service.
"The Playboy casino will leverage brand recognition outside of the US,"
said Rose.
Cryptologic also has the rights to a Playboy poker site.
The site will only be available to non-US residents.
