Yes people, they paid money for a piece of string with someone's dental gunk on it. Some sorry person went and rooted through Paris Hilton's Hollywood trash cans and discovered the little beauty. Golden Palace thought it was a good idea to pay $1000 for it (children all over the world are dying of hunger btw but lets not spoil the fun).

The happy hawker of said little string, "Hollywood Star Trash", hit the headlines recently with a youtube.com video showing how they got their hands on Paris Hilton's trash. Various pieces of trash were put up for auction alongside the dental floss. Golden Palace can now add the floss to their other bizarre purchases, including  William Shatner's kidney stone and Britney Spears' peed on pregnancy test kit.

Apparently there is a documentary being made about the trash, and apparently "Hollywood Star Trash" also got their hands John Travolta trash and plan to sell sell some of it, including 12 empty beef packets and a fork.
