January 27 - Party Gaming, one of the world's largest online gambling
groups and owner of PartyPoker, the largest online poker room, announced its
fourth quarter trading update today...
Revenues for Q4 2005 were up by 65% to US$320.3m compared to the previous
year. Net online poker revenue was up by 31% to US$233.7m comapred to Q4 2005,
and up 17% on Q3 2005.
Party Gaming said the growth reflects new player signups. Average yield per
player was US$17.9 compared with US$16.6 in Q3, but slightly down from US$19.1
in Q4 2005.
The drop in yield is ascribed to the massive amount of players playing
blackjack which was launched in October 2005. . Real player sign ups at
PartyPoker.com was 229,227 during the quarter, and 839,317 for the year,
which was well ahead of forecast. .
Average daily revenue was US$2.5m compared to US$1.9m for the same period in
2004. This was an all time high for the company.
30% of new players were outside of the USA.
Net casino revenue was US$82.3m for Q4, which is massive compared to only
$11m in Q3 2005.
Blackjack is largely responsible for the daily revenues from the casino at
US$0.9m compared to $0.1m in 2004..
Party Gaming CEO said of the ongoing dispute with Empire Online that he was
confident that "a successful outcome would be achieved"
